At Skincare Clarity, our primary mission is to provide independent, INCI-first curation for sensitive and reactive skin. To maintain our independence and fund the extensive research required for our database, we use affiliate marketing.

We believe in complete transparency regarding how this website is funded and how products are selected.

How we fund the site

When you click on a product link on Skincare Clarity and make a purchase from a third-party retailer, we earn a small commission from that sale.

This tracking may use cookies or similar technologies set by the affiliate network or retailer. Where required, these are handled through our cookie consent system and explained in our Privacy & Cookie Policy. Earning these commissions allows us to keep the Skincare Clarity database free to access, without relying on disruptive display advertising or sponsored posts.

What this means for you

• No additional cost: Clicking an affiliate link does not change the price of the product. You will pay the same amount as you would if you navigated to the retailer directly.
• Retailer responsibility: Because we operate solely as an independent curation guide, all transactions, shipping, returns, and customer service are handled by the retailer you purchase from. If you experience an issue with an order, please contact the retailer’s customer service team directly.

Our promise of editorial independence

Our commissions do not dictate our recommendations. Skincare Clarity operates a strict, firewall-style separation between our curation methodology and our affiliate partnerships.

1. Science first, not sales: A product is only featured on our site if its formula passes our strict, independent INCI screening process — meaning it is free from our Red List triggers and actively uses beneficial ingredients from our Green List. We do not accept payment or ‘pay-to-play’ sponsorships to secure coverage or favourable treatment, or to bypass these criteria. We may accept products provided without charge for evaluation, but receipt of a sample does not guarantee inclusion or favourable coverage. Any gifted product discussed on the site will be clearly disclosed, and brands or retailers do not approve our editorial conclusions.
2. Objective audits: If a featured product is reformulated to include a Red List ingredient, it will be removed from our recommendations, regardless of any affiliate relationship.
3. No brand favouritism: We link to a variety of reputable, primarily UK-based retailers to give you the most accessible purchasing options. We do not elevate one brand or retailer over another based on commission rates.
