Moisturiser selection

What we prioritise

There is no fixed ingredient quota. We look for a sensible balance of barrier support, hydration and everyday comfort, judged in the context of the whole formula.

Barrier support

Barrier lipids such as ceramides and cholesterol can support the skin’s protective structure, but we judge them in the context of the whole moisturiser.

Dependable hydration

Humectants such as glycerin and hyaluronic acid support water balance, especially when paired with ingredients that help hold it in.

Everyday comfort

Soothing ingredients can support day-to-day comfort, while texture and finish decide whether a moisturiser is easy to use consistently.

Positive INCI signals

Ingredients we look for

These are useful signals rather than a checklist. A strong moisturiser may use a different combination, but the formula should still make sense as a whole.
