The Ordinary Natural Moisturizing Factors + HA
Everyday cream built from the skin's own moisturising factors.
Quick verdict
Read down this list and you'll find the same kinds of ingredients skin itself uses to hold water: amino acids from arginine (eighth) to phenylalanine (18th), then sugars, sodium PCA, sodium lactate and urea. Together they're known as natural moisturising factors, which gives the cream its name.

Why it made the cut
Glycerin and sodium hyaluronate sit sixth and seventh, with urea and allantoin 26th and 27th. Cetyl and stearyl alcohol, third and fifth, are fatty alcohols that give the cream its body, not drying ones. The retailer's product copy mentions ceramides, but none is named on the list; the lipids here are fatty acids and phytosteryl canola glycerides.
At £10–£14 for 100ml, it's one of the lowest-priced moisturisers per millilitre in our selection. If your skin wants something richer, The Ordinary Natural Moisturizing Factors + PhytoCeramides is the heavier version.
